The project
In a heritage home the kitchen has to look like it belongs. The original windows, ceiling height and cornice stay; the herringbone floor is restored where it survives and matched where it doesn't; and a shaker kitchen goes in in a deep green that sits comfortably with the period detailing — with a modern island, induction and a fully integrated fridge behind it.
