A dated kitchen re-planned around a curved stone island, a wall of walnut tall joinery and a terrazzo-look floor, opening onto a new dining zone.
The project
This concept is about form. The island is meant to read as a piece of furniture, so the curved plinth is framed on site, then clad and topped once the floor is down. A wall of walnut tall joinery hides the fridge, ovens and pantry, which keeps the working side of the kitchen almost entirely out of view from the living room.
