Local Tasker Construction (ABN 96 702 159 653), part of the Local Tasker group, is committed to providing quality services to you, and this policy sets out our obligations in respect of how we manage your personal information.

What personal information we collect, and why

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. The personal information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and details about the property or project an enquiry relates to.

We collect this information in a number of ways: through the quote and contact forms on this website, through our website assistant, by telephone and email, during site visits and consultations, from correspondence, and from publicly available sources.

We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you — preparing quotes, supplying materials, carrying out building work, and communicating with you about your project. We may also use it for directly related secondary purposes you would reasonably expect, including improving our services and, where you have opted in, marketing. You can unsubscribe from our marketing at any time by contacting us.

Where it is appropriate and practicable, we will explain why we are collecting information and how we plan to use it at the time we collect it.

Sensitive information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or professional body, criminal record, or health information.

We do not generally collect sensitive information. Where we do, it will be used by us only:

• for the primary purpose for which it was obtained
• for a secondary purpose directly related to that primary purpose
• with your consent, or where required or authorised by law

Third parties

Where reasonable and practicable, we collect your personal information only from you. In some circumstances we may be given information by a third party — for example, by an architect, designer, property manager or another trade working on your project. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make you aware of the information we have been given.

To deliver our services we may share your information with suppliers, subcontractors and other members of the Local Tasker group, but only to the extent needed to quote or carry out your project.

This website links to third-party websites, including those of our supply partners and our sister company. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

Disclosure of personal information

Your personal information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances, including:

• to third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure
• to suppliers and subcontractors engaged to quote or deliver your project
• where required or authorised by law

Security of your personal information

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. However, most personal information is or will be stored in project files, which we are required to keep for a minimum of seven years.

Accessing and correcting your information

You may access the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to update or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. To do so, please contact us in writing at the address below.

Local Tasker Construction will not charge a fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information. To protect your information, we may require identification from you before releasing it.

It is important to us that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If you find that what we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please let us know as soon as practicable so we can correct our records.

Cookies and website analytics

This website uses a small amount of browser storage to remember practical things between visits — most notably the contents of your quote list, which stays in your own browser and is only sent to us when you choose to submit it.

There is no checkout and no payment processing anywhere on this website, so we do not collect or store payment card details.

Our website assistant

The assistant on this site passes your questions to a third-party AI provider to generate a reply. Do not enter sensitive personal information into it. If you give the assistant your name and contact details, they are sent to our team as an enquiry in the same way a form submission would be, and handled under this policy.

This policy may change from time to time and the current version is always available on this website. It was last updated on 28 September 2026.

Complaints and enquiries
