A 1990s timber-veneer kitchen stripped back and rebuilt around a waterfall-edge island, full-height joinery and new oak floors running through to the dining zone.
The project
The existing kitchen has good light but a closed-in layout and tired timber-veneer joinery. The brief: keep the footprint, open the island up to the living area and make the whole room feel calmer. Everything comes out to the slab, services are relocated for the new island sink, and the palette stays with warm white, pale oak and a veined porcelain that wraps the island to the floor.
